Thus, the science of pharmacology spans the most fundamental aspects of basic research, through transgenic animal models, to clinical investigation.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Pharmacology department @ VCP :<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The role of the pharmacology department is to provide research skills and to train the students of high-quality graduates in the pharmaceutical sciences discipline.<\/li>\n<li>The faculty of the pharmacology department is well renowned for their clinical pharmacology research skills.<\/li>\n<li>The department of pharmacology is proud of its excellence in maintaining its research lab and the central government approved the animal house of international standard.<\/li>\n<li>The research projects in the Department are highly interdisciplinary covering the complete range from basic to clinical science.<\/li>\n<li>The ongoing research projects of our department are<\/li>\n<li>Antidiabetic studies.<\/li>\n<li>Anti analgesic studies<\/li>\n<li>Anti-inflammatory studies.<\/li>\n<li>Hepatoprotective studies.<\/li>\n<li>Studies related to the Central Nervous System.<\/li>\n<li>Pharmacokinetic studies.<\/li>\n<li>Psychopharmacological studies.<\/li>\n<li>Activities of various drugs on Isolated tissue preparations, etc.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Pharmacology lab offers the student the chance to carry out in-vivo experimentation on rat, guinea pig, rabbit, etc., in-vitro studies on different models of diseases and evaluation of drugs action, etc. The students are also trained extensively for preclinical studies on animals and theoretical exposure of clinical studies on human beings keeping in mind Good Clinical Practices (GCP). The lab is equipped with 20 sets of organ bath, Sherrington rotating drum and other equipment for isolated tissue experiments<\/p>\n<p><strong>ANIMAL HOUSE<\/strong><br \/>\nAnimal house facility is established with the state- of- art technology in a single-storied building with a design of a two-way corridor system to minimize cross-contamination. Our animal house is registered with CPCSEA, The different species of small laboratory animals like mice, rats, guinea pigs, and rabbits are maintained to provide the quality animals for various research purposes in experimentation and research. The animals would be maintained under controlled environmental conditions (temperature (22-25\u00b0 C), relative humidity (5 %), with 100 % of fresh air exchange in animal rooms) with uninterrupted power supply.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Placement&nbsp; AND Training CELL<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Employability training:<\/strong><br \/>\nTraining programmers are conducted throughout the year for students in an effort towards preparing the prospective<br \/>\nstudents for the campus selection program<br \/>\nCommunication skills<br \/>\nLeadership skills<br \/>\nPersonality Development<br \/>\nTime management<br \/>\nTeam management<br \/>\nInterview skills<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>PLACEMENT CELL:<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>A Spring-Board for Success<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In The Given highly competitive and rocky job market scenario, the highest importance is given to training the students in the areas of problem-solving, critical thinking, communication skills, and teamwork skills along with life skills.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>PLACEMENT ACTMTIES<\/strong><br \/>\nStudents are oriented for Placement Activity from the 2nd year itself. Training programs are initiated for the 3rd year students in Aptitude Test which is Technical Domain, Group Discussions, debates, just a minute session, Communication Skills, English Accent, Dress Code, Manners, and Etiquettes, etc. Mock interviews and guest lectures are conducted so that students can face the interviews confidently.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Career planning &amp; guidance<\/strong><br \/>\nTo formulate plans for the future of the students, career guidance, all the information about placement avenues, is given from time to time, and guidance is provided by a professional counselors on all those matters regularly.
